YES on A, Fix our parks - Vote Yes on February 5th

YES on A, Fix our parks - Vote Yes on February 5th

If you haven't already heard, the City is placing a bond on the February 5th ballot to fix more of our parks in San Francisco. I would really love your help with getting the message out via your contact lists. If you have questions about the bond, you can get a lot more information at the following websites (, You can also send your questions to

We need to get 67% support on the ballot, and it is a big job, reaching out and educating people about what the "Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond" is and how great it is.

If you are excited about continuing to fix our parks in the City, the campaign website gives you multiple ways to help. You can volunteer in the following ways;
1. Neighborhood walk to educate your neighbors
2. Phone bank to educate voters
3. Setup a presentation for your neighborhood association, PTA, etc.. and of course
4. Donate money

Time is short! The holiday season is a hard time to get our message across and your help would be greatly appreciated. So please forward this email to anyone who uses our parks and would like to see continued improvements and renovations.

Galaxy comes David Beckham!

David Beckham USA Info

Update - Photos of David Beckham out biking in the South of France today are in the gallery. Becks took his personal trainer, Paul Winsper, the former Newcastle United conditioning coach, with him on holiday.

A week from today David Beckham will be officially presented as a Los Angeles Galaxy player so I thought now was a good time for a US info re-cap.

David Beckham's planned US Schedule

July 12 - according to media reports David Beckham is expected to arrive in Los Angeles.

July 13 - David Beckham will be officially presented as a Los Angeles Galaxy player at 10am LA time. The press conference will be streamed live via The presentation will be open to the press and season-pass holders but not to the public.

July 16 - David Beckham is expected to train with the team for the first time. Training sessions may not be open to the public. Check with the club directly before making the trip.(Source)

July 19 - All-Star match against Celtic FC will be held in Commerce City, Colorado. David Beckham is expected to attend but not to actually play. (Source)

July 21 - David Beckham is expected to make his LA Galaxy Debut against Chelsea FC. Television coverage of Becks debut game will be as follows -

(Source) ESPN's coverage will kick off at 6 p.m. EDT with "SportsCenter" and an extra half-hour at 7 p.m. that will focus exclusively on Beckham. It will be followed at 7:30 p.m. by "David Beckham: New Beginnings," an hour long documentary about the soccer star. (I don't know if this is the name of the ITV documentary being made or something else). A half-hour pregame show will be hosted by Rob Stone and analyst Julie Foudy.

The match begins at 9 p.m. on ESPN with play-by-play announcer Dave O'Brien plus analysts Eric Wynalda and Tommy Smyth and sideline reporter Allen Hopkins. Reggie Bush, Becks recent co-star from the Adidas Futbol meets Football campaign will also be in the booth. ESPN said there will be 19 cameras, including a skycam, robotic goal cams and super slo-mo shots. There also will be a camera isolating Beckham's actions during the match as well, which will be available on also will have coverage.

Throughout the week leading up to Beckham’s debut, ESPN will also present news, interviews, opinion and analysis surrounding Beckham’s move to MLS. there will undoubtedly be a lot of coverage which I'll post about as and when I hear details.

The LA Galaxy schedule for the rest of the season can be viewed online here.

Rules and Regulations

player code of conduct

League Philosophy:

We are playing soccer for fun. We are not overly competitive. The goal is for everyone to have an opportunity to play soccer to the best of their ability in a friendly and supportive environment. Please do not intentionally commit fouls. Please do not criticize other players or spectators. Instead, please come to the game ready to play good soccer and allow yourself and everybody else to have a good time.

Player Eligibility:

No player under 18 years of age will be allowed to participate, and no high school students are eligible to play.

Laws of the Game:

The "Laws of the Game" as published by FIFA and shall be the rules of play followed and enforced by this league Molly's Soccer Group/League (Molly Hwe Thavyxay).

Game Attire:

Shirts/shorts - Players can play in any game attire as they choose. Safety - Players must ensure that cleats, jewelry and other attire, do not pose a danger to anyone. It is recommended that all players wear cleats and shin guards at their own discretion (it is not mandatory).

Rescheduling Games:

If soggy playing fields or other conditions i.e., rain, cause the games to be canceled, then the game will be postponed or played elsewhere.

Playing time per player:

Everyone plays. It is not necessary that everyone has an equal amount of time, however we prefer that even the weaker players get their fair share, even if they do play less than the better players during games. We may play with more than the regulation 11v11 depending on the number of players present at any given time or less than the regulation 11v11.
